Hey There •

Growing up in Puerto Rico my mother believed no day was not a good day to spend outside: beach days, hikes, and just biking up and down the streets until we were covered in dirt, sweat and grime. I’ve been a lifelong mover – from field days to school sports, climbing trees in my backyard to climbing Mt. Fuji, sprinting subway stairs to running marathons – it feels like all my life choices and interests have converged together in this point. Movement flowing from one stage of my life to another, a constant thread of connection. And nothing makes me happier than joining you in your movement journey. So from my movement practice to yours I welcome you.

  • Running has been my life-long movement passion, but after suffering a (preventable) injury that caused the muscles in my right leg to misalign and overcompensate (which left me unable to run for a year) I realized that my training approach was lacking.

    Cue Pilates. After researching what types of movement could help me heal and help prevent this injury from repeating I found Pilates. By slowing things down and emphasizing control, precision, and awareness of movement I was able to not only work on my injury to come back stronger in my runs but find balance and more pain free movement overall. And I fell in love with the movement, prompting me to get certified a couple of years later.

    That is my goal. I believe movement is a crucial part of everyones lives and we don’t realize just how important balance and alignment are for pain-free, efficient movement until we get injured and are no longer able to do so.

  • I have a rigorous, athletic, yet accommodating approach to my classes – you can expect to feel challenged and definitely feel the burn, without sacrificing safety and comfort in movement, regardless of your level. My classes are all about finding yourself in movement, and whether you are a lifelong practitioner or new to the world of pilates, I am here to guide you.
